Terri P. Boukater, CPA | Senior Accountant
Terri Boukater was born and raised in Key West, Fla., but spent her middle school years in Gainesville. That’s when she first got the University of Florida in her blood. She began working at a local CPA firm in Key West at the age of 15 and decided then what her career path would be.
Terri attended the University of Florida and received an AA degree and began her accounting curriculum there before transferring to Florida State University because of love. After her parents almost choked her, she redeemed herself by graduating magna cum laude from FSU with finance and accounting degrees. She then went on to pass the CPA exam.
The first six years of her career were spent working at two local CPA firms in Tallahassee before moving into private industry. Terri became the chief financial officer and chief insurance officer for the 30th largest optical/ optometric practice in the United States. She worked there for 18 years before returning to her “first love”—public accounting. Due to Terri’s lengthy career working with 10 eye doctors, she has extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, and she is able to use that knowledge to serve all clients, but particularly healthcare clients.
Terri is married and has a son and a stepson.
